Buy my recommendations, or through my Amazon store. Or get the Young Turks series (all 4 books). Where are those corporate sponsors? Or throw donations at me. I need RM360 to get The Star ePaper. Or go to Hajj, whichever you prefer.

  • I’m lining up jobs for next quarter, for IGL Services. Whisper to (better yet, carpe jugulum) your boss, and send work my way.
  • Vestigo is here, Vestigo is here. Are they so ashamed that they are a PETRONAS linked company that they didn’t use .com.my for their web presence? If you think you are a hotshot Senior Reservoir Engineer apply here. But I can’t get a ping at their web address, so snail mail to The Human Resources Department, Vestigo Petroleum Sdn Bhd, Level 3, Bangunan Getah Asli, 148 Jalan Amplang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur.
  • I notice that there’s and advert for Hevilift. Are they looking to partake in the offshore aviation transportation pie?

World’s Biggest Wealth Fund Among Reach Energy Investors

October 5, 2014

Can all the SPACs give me a direct line into insider trading opportunities?

Dateline 2014-07-24, Bloomberg Businessweek:

Malaysia’s Reach Energy Bhd. has attracted investors including Norway’s $890 billion sovereign wealth fund in an initial public offering to fund its acquisitions of oil and gas fields.

On July 16, the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) decided to remove its oil rig from contested waters, stating that its exploration mission was completed after finding “sings of oil and gas.”

While moving the rig out of waters claimed by both China and Vietnam could cool tensions, the intractable dispute over territory is holding back what could be massive investment in oil and gas exploration.

The Wall Street Journal reported on several major international oil companies that are steering clear of the South China Sea because of the conflict, despite the potentially huge reserves of oil and gas in its waters.
