This is a shout out for the IEM. My Technical Division will be hosting a talk on the 8th August, 2015. It’ll be at 9:00 am (makan-makan at 8:30). I’m giving the talk, so turn up.

The HAZID will be used as the basis of the asset’s Risk Register. The talk will address
• The concept of ‘risk’
• The theory behind a HAZID in Malaysia’s oil, gas and petrochemical industry
• Risks captured in a HAZID
• HAZID guidewords
• Differences between a HAZID and a HAZOP
