Petronas Awards PSC To MDC Oil And Petronas Carigali

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 12 (Bernama) — Petronas has awarded a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for the Block SK320 offshore Sarawak, to MDC Oil and Gas Ltd and Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.

Under the terms of the PSC, MDC Oil, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi owned Mubadala Development Company with a participating interest of 75 per cent, will operate the Block SK320.

Meanwhile, Petronas Carigali, the exploration and production arm of Petronas will own the remaining 25 per cent.

“The block measuring 5,786 square kilometres is located in the central part of the Sarawak Basin in water depths of between 100 to 200 metres,” Petronas said in a statement on Friday.
