Saturday Star 2009-11-21 – Job Opportunities

Is it me, or was there no recruitment section in The Star? There’s nothing on the ebrowse site. Anyone get a hardcopy of the paper? If so, can you mail it to me 🙂 I ‘ll cover the domestic mailing costs. Or steal it from the batch of returned papers outside your local 7-11.

  • Synergy is looking for safety engineers. Visit the Synergy websites (Jakarta and KL) for contact details.

This week’s food recommendation is Aero Caterering Sdn Bhd based in MAS Complex A SAAS Airport (Subang International Airport for us old timers). They supplied the food for my MRSM Muar ’84 batch reunion dinner on Saturday night. I don’t think they have a food outlet, but try them out for some Minang food.

    Assalamualaikum and hepi eiduladha

I’m looking for opportunity for any vibration analyst post at any oil and gas company at malaysia. i will sit for vibration exam this february and insyaAllah with a help from Allah i will succeed my exam then get a vibration level category II certificate by Mobius (institute of vibration from australia).

So i really hope that Mr Wata can give me some info about any vibration vancancy in malaysia or info about which company are dealing with vibration as their business.

    Thank You

    Haq

  2. Jabbathehutt says:

    do you supply vibrator?

can it be certified? I need the vibrator to have two level, slow and steady, fast and furious.

  3. Wata says:

Haq: Wa’alaikum salam. Donate and I’ll tell you about vibrator vacancies.

  4. JabbatheHutt says:

something worth mentioning is the catering for MAS.

They are a sometime good, but then again, that’s a rarity.

  5. Haq says:

    Thanks Wata

I will make a donation to ur site.

Actually who is JabbatheHut??He’s made such a inmanner comment.

  6. Jabbathehutt says:

Jabba is someone that knows that your qualification is bullshit.

Who would need a vibration analyser? Normally, Wata is just too polite to answer bullshit like yours.

    You are stupid because:

    1. You study a course without even knowing who is in the same business
    2. You study a course without even knowing what you are going to do after graduation
    3. You are asking for a vacancies from someone who isn’t even working in your field.

Its like studying for degree on how to take care of polar bears and trying to find a job in Malaysia.

Better, its like saying you studied two years and do know what you can do after graduation. what a joke.

    Is that more polite? hahahaa

Vibration analyst is not related with oil and gas????!!!

vibration analyst is the person dat inspect the vibration in compressor ,turbine or any rotating equipment. Ever heard the word of “rotating engineer”??

For what i know Tanjong Maintenance (tanjung offshore) got a tender to supervise a rotating equipment regarding to vibration until 2011 at certain platform ,,but from which client company im not so sure, petronas or shell im not so sure.

so i just want to know which companies at malaysia dat hire any vibration analyst. Off course i had alreadt know a few companies dat involve with vibration but im just asking Wata just in case if Wata know sumthing or know the other companies that i didnt know it before.

    Thanks

  8. JabbatheHutt says:

I’m sorry, we do have a few real rotating engineer working for us. I guess they have real degree (for example BSc/BEng/phd in Mechanical Engineering). They actually work on real compressors and pumps.

I don’t think the have people taking little sensors walking around platform measuring vibration.

As a sign of my stupidity, i’d hire you to go offshore and measure the vibration on platform. although i could have a high precision device measuring it and doing computation analysis in my office.

By the way, i still think you are definitely not a rotating engineer (maybe a vibration technologist at best), as you probably can’t even generate a compressor specification…..

  9. JabbatheHutt says:

i hope someone can sense sarcasm here.

  10. Haq says:

Actually i have a degree in gas engineering.im taking this vibration course to add my skills and knowledge and want to become someone that have another skill rather than knowledge and skill dat i got from my degree
