Another week, another scan of the Saturday Star newspaper. Here’s a list of job ads in the paper:
- BHP Billiton is looking for a Senior Drilling Engineer. Find out more here and submit your updated CV online. Looks like they are involved in deep water Sabah work.
- BP is looking for flotilla engineers. I don’t think this is an O&G job, but hey you get “BP” on your resume. You must “forward a comprehensive resume to: leo.vincent@se1.bp.com.” Do this before 23rd May, 2009.
- I see that SABIC is still recruiting. It wants project engineers, process / mech / instr / elec / control sys / safety engineers, and some consultants. You can apply via email here.
- Carigali Hess is looking for a mechanical engineering head, and rotating machinery engineer. I see that they are expanding, as they already have an engineering head and a rot machinery lead. Go apply for this job, as the seniors there are well trained, having come from other big players in the Malaysian industry. You can apply via email here.

And synergy is looking for 5 lead safety engineers and 3 lead process engineers. (seriously)
CarigaliHess has been looking for the position for last 6 months, apprentely they want a super duper.
Wata,
Boleh I link my blog with you?
hans: give me your blog address so I can have a look.
We’ve got work coming out of our behinds, and we are limited by good engineers. Even good engineers at 6 years experience are hard to come by.

what do you think?
man & anyone else interested in the O&G industry: please visit OGA and ask them about where your specialties can fit in. It’s on 10-12 June @ KLCC Convention Center.
what’s a fortilla engineer…. preparing and design tortilla?
Hi Jabba, something to do with floating stuff, especially now there will be lots of drill ship, rigs and other related equipment will be idle. Their main responsibility is to maintain the equipment on board especially the rotating unit. it is like having your ship or rigs in a full service garage and take it out again when the things started to look good.
Thanks for the info.
Again, I will try to hijack this blog…
Synergy has opening for the following;
1. Five lead safety engineers
2. Seven senior safety engineers
3. Six lead process engineers
4. Ten senior process engineers
