ExxonMobil subsidiaries in Malaysia, will plant 5,000 seedlings at the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve, in Puchong, by next year, under the company’s community project.
Chairman Hugh W. Thompson said 3,300 seedlings have so far been planted under the tree-planting programme, in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia, aimed at conserving and maintaining forest reserves for recreation and research purposes.
“We believe that reducing the environmental impact of today’s energy is an important step towards a more sustainable future.
