Fields tend to be named after a certain theme:
- Mountains (Lawit, Larut, Bintang (not hill!), Jerneh, Seligi) – ExxonMobil convention.
- Flowers – Bunga Orkid, Bunga Raya, Bunga Kertah (I think Bunga Kertas is the name of a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading facility, FPSO).
- Fish – Kikeh.
- Birds – Helang, Layang
- Precious Stones – Ruby, Pearl, these are Vietnamese fields.
- Storms (I’m guessing here) – Patricia, South Furious (or could it be ladies?)

Talisman – in addition to the ones you have, we also have Bunga Kekwa (BK-A/B/C). Bunga Raya (BR-A/B/E) i think
ConocoPhillips in Natuna Sea (part of Kikeh ops region) – Belida, Belanak, Belut, Kerisi, Bawal. Smaller ops have Tiram, Udang, Kepang, (i don’t know the rest but natuna sea is full of seafood).
CNOOC in Jawa names after woman (Karmila, Milla, Sundari, Yvonne, Kartini, Yani, Titi, Banuwati, Wanda, Gita, Suratmi, Lita, Zelda, Nora) and character from Ramayana (Cinta, Rama, Krisna)
Santos is vegetarian (Oyong, Wortel(carrot in Indonesian))
Premeir is exotic animals (Gajah Baru, Gajah Putri, Naga, Iguana, Pelican etc)

Some fields offshore Sarawak are named after spices – Jintan, Serai, Cili Padi (?)
