New HAZOP Tool


I facilitated a HAZOP for Uzma on Sunday, 23rd November, 2008, in Kerteh Terengganu (yes, I was doing it under the Poyry ticket).

Anyhow, I found that the following tool is extremely useful in:

  • pointing out items on the projection screen.
  • Demonstrating heights and lengths.
  • Just feels cool.

I suggest using one about 4 1/2″ long, an inch thick.

    Too destructive to the projector screen. Now if I had on of those Highguard staffs from Andromeda…

    You forgot:

    1. Whacking unruly HAZOP members
    2. Whacking sleeping HAZOP members
    3. Whacking people which spends 4 hour arguing a single keyword on a pig receiver
    4. Whacking PM if you turn up and no PO is ready yet
    5. Whacking vendors (just for the fun of it)
    6. Whacking person sitting next to you (also just for fun)
    7. Whacking your boss if he is in the HAZOP (especially if you are quitting your job and it is the last day of work)
    8. Whacking the HSE manager because he complains you are giving the team members a concussion.
