Here’s an example where energy is being wasted to cool down the air at UMMC. The white insulation at the bottom of the picture is ice build up on the line. The vessels store liquid nitrogen.
Hmm, looking at the picture, I’m not sure which side is the refrigeration loop, and which is the product loop. I suppose the opns unit on the left is a heat exchanger, and the ice is forming on the nitrogen product line
