Another week, another scan of the Saturday Star newspaper. Here’s a list of job ads in the paper:
- Shell are looking for ideas people. They want engineers of a disciplines, with a B.Sc or Master’s in the related field. If you want to apply, send a buzz to here. Send your submissions in before March 1, 2009.
- There’s a company looking for electrical engineers. You can apply here, or fax resume to +603-56315378. The number seems to indicate the office isn’t far from Synergy’s. Website’s under construction. Responses in before February 15, 2009.
- RasGas is looking for well operations coordinator, flow assurance coordinator (maybe Synergy should look into that), technicians, operators. CVs to be submitted here. You can phone the local recruiters at +603 2078 1918. I believe RasGas is a JV, one of the partners being ExxonMobil.
- Talisman is looking for an Operations Star-Up engineer. This must be for Bunga Orkid -A.
- There’s an advert by the Oval group for senior sales engineer, and sales & application engineers. Send your applications here. I believe I’ve looked at their products in the past. Another week, another scan of the Saturday Star newspaper. Here’s a list of job ads in the paper:
- Synergy Oil and Gas Engineeringis recruiting fresh chemical engineering graduates, or those with around 1 year experience. CVs may be sent to enquiry@synergykl.com.my. It’s also looking for admin execs who can run the invoicing / payroll / accounting web as well as be office managers.
- Murphy is looking for an Interface Engineering Manager. Sounds interesting. One responsibility is to ‘develop and implement an Interface Management System to define and manage technical scope of work at the boundaries between Company work groups in multi-discipline/multi-contractor projects and between various contractor groups.’ A min of 20 years experience is required. - Technip has requirements for a subsea installation engineer and a subsea structural engineer. Visit their website.
- RasGas is looking for a whole mess of people – head elec eng, head rot eng, rot eng, elec/power eng, mech eng, proc eng, integrity eng (materials, not ethics), corr eng (manage, encourage happens easily enough), control sys eng, safety sys eng, field en, programmatic eng, metallurgical eng, inst and control eng, reliability eng. RasGas is looking for a planning engineer – shutdown, lead metering technician… this week’s advert seems to be technician heavy. CVs to be submitted here. I believe RasGas is a JV, one of the partners being ExxonMobil.

Another week, another scan of the Saturday Star newspaper. Here’s a list of job ads in the paper:
- PETRONAS (all capitals, please) is recruiting. The online ad version of The Star isn’t clear, but I think there’s an Open Day from the 24th-26th Oct, 2008 at the JW Marriot, KL. I wonder why they didn’t do it next door at the Mandarin. Too expensive? Anyhow, they are looking for people with at least 7 years experience, which leads on the the next ad.
- Synergy Oil and Gas Engineering is recruiting fresh chemical engineering graduates, or those with around 1 year experience. CVs may be sent to enquiry@synergykl.com.my.
- The Kuwait Oil Company is looking people. You can visit the job website and send your application here and here. The engineering positions they offer are for process, reservoir, petroleum, drilling, planning, cotnracts, maintenance, material, cost estimation, safety and enviromental. In a nutshell, ask and you will find an opening.
- QP is looking for a lot of people. You can visit the QP website. Did I tell you that QP’s SWB (salary, wages, benefits) package is something to be sneezed at?
- M3nergy is recruiting. CVs may be sent here. HQ-based positions available are for planning, marine, QS.
- RasGas is looking for a rotating eqt and mechanical integrity specialist. . Snr Integrity, Snr Mech, Snr Programmatic, Snr Elect/Power, Measurement Specialist (Way hay!), Snr Rot Eqt, Snr. I&Control, Analyser Eng Specialist. CVs to be submitted here. I believe RasGas is a JV, one of the partners being ExxonMobil.
- Delcom (public holding company Deleum) is looking for a Evaluation engineer. At least 2+ years experience. Hah, you have to send a hardcopy CV to NOV ReedHycalog, 4th Floor, South Block, Wisma Selangor Dredging, 142A Jln Ampang, 50450 KL. Closing date is 18 November, 2008. Always a good way to weed out the trawlers from the dedicated applicant.

- DPS Bristol (M) Sdn Bhd and DPS Consultant Malaysia Sdn Bhd are looking for a lot of engineers. Examples are Project Eng (6 pax), Lead Process Eng (10 pax!), Lead Mech/Pipe (10 pax)… I wish my company was expanding that fast. Anyhow, closing date is 15th August, 2008, You can fax your resume to +603 9206 2626 or email it in.
- RasGas is looking for engineers. Snr Integrity, Snr Mech, Snr Programmatic, Snr Elect/Power, Measurement Specialist (Way hay!), Snr Rot Eqt, Snr. I&Control, Analyser Eng Specialist. IGL Process Solutions is looking for high paying work, preferably of a 6 month duration.

Another week, another scan of the Saturday Star newspaper. This time, I’m trying out the ebrowse feature provided by BlueHyppo (will he ever manage to balik kampung?). Saves trees, though trying to install the ActiveX application seems to be problematic in Vista.
