Insight – Crossing the great decarbonisation river

February 19, 2022

In Malaysia, natural gas and coal contribute to more than 80% of the power generation mix.

The government targets renewable energy (RE) to constitute 31% of installed power generation capacity in 2025 and 40% in 2035.

Petronas to raise supply of natural gas to Sarawak

February 18, 2022

Chairman Tan Sri Mohd Bakke Salleh said the staggered increase in the natural gas supply would not only support Sarawak’s aspiration to attract investments from new, higher value-adding industries into the state but also provide the necessary impetus for further downstream exploration that would strengthen the state’s hydrocarbon resource base.
