More interesting might be my notes of the Q&A session:
- Payment for licensing & registration fees will be done via over-the-counter deposit at CIMB. Payment may be made via BizChannel, and by mid-2012, maybe CIMBClicks and Maybank2u.
- Since the process is now self-guided, unlikely to be refunded the processing fee to due vendor errors during submission.
- Announcements will be made on the website, but sufficient lead time between announcement and change/activity will be provided. Critical information will be sent via email to registered addresses.
- You can appeal for unapproved SWEC. Who you contact? Beats me.
- The requirement for agencies will still be on an exclusivity basis.
- RETRO! The interface has been tested on IE8 (or lower) or Firefox 3.6 (or lower). No guarantees for Safari, Webkit, Opera, Lynx, Chrome or higher versions of IE or Firefox.
- There will be a SWEC initiative review in 2012.
- Frozen categories are still frozen categories. VDPs will be revamped next year.
- Minimum Technical Requirement – If an MTR requires certification by an external body, but that body no longer provides said certification, then the requirement will be reviewed on a case by case basis
