I was listening to the radio last week, and there was a language lesson program which talked about the value of the pantun to the Malay culture. In an attempt to lower said culture, I propose we create pantuns based on the oil & gas industry. Here’re a few to set the bar…
Hisap rokok di kawasan produk,
Ditangkap, dihantar balik naik chopper.
Kalau tak nak ikut Standards of Business Conduct,
Tunggu sampai orang tak ada.
Pergi pelanta cari rezeki,
sampai-sampai kena buat downhole fishing.
Kalau musuh tak nak dicari,
Siapakan kerja sebelum gi golfing.
Senior engineer suruh sizekan heat exchanger
Young Turk kata, “Mudah! Guna OLGA!”
Kalau dah tak tau, kata ajelah tak tau
Buka buku text, majalah, iPad, gi belajar.
The rest had too many swear words.
