KUALA LUMPUR, 20 MAY 2010 — Malaysia Liquefied Natural Gas (MLNG) has awarded a US$12.4 million contract to upgrade and modernise a distributed control system (DCS) to technology services firm Invensys Operations Management.
“The major upgrade will provide by 2014 a continuously current DCS to sustain the productivity and safety of MLNG’s liquid natural gas operations in Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia,” said Invensys Operations Management, vice president and managing director, ASEAN, Japan and Taiwan, Terence Chan. “The solution is a distributed control technology, which enhances system reliability and availability, and helps to achieve productivity and safety excellence.”
