NGV / CNG Motorcycles?

Noting that here in Malaysia there has been a lot of interest in converting petrol vehicles to NGV guzzlers, I was musing on the idea that perhaps motorcycles could undergo the same surgery.

Sniggers could be heard, erupting into full blown laughter after introducing the plan to others.

Other parties have stifled their mirth, put pen to paper. The results are here, here, here.

    any design will include a cover to hide the huge NGV tanks.

    Imagine motorcyclist lugging the tanks like scuba divers.

    How big is the difference?

    Sohas: I don’t know what the difference is. Assume that if it is worth it for cars, it’s worth the hassle for bikes, though the conversion kit for cars is in the range of RM2-4k, for that money you can purchase another bike.
    Jabba: we dress up the tank as a person, and get ready for those ‘two-in-one’ motorcycle lanes, similar to Jakarta’s 3-in-1 car lanes.
    I remember someone posted a photo of a bule bike user using a scuba tank while puttering around KL. If only I can find it again…

    i believe you can fit a lot of things on a bike. In Nigeria, we call them Okada, indonesia, we call the Ojek.

    The best record is in Nigeria, where the following can fit on a bike;

    1. Two guys with two goat between them (note the goat are stacked on each other); or
    2. Three guys with a wheel barrow; or
    3. A family of 4 with 4 chicken (2 on each side); or
    4. Jabba with a CNG tank.
