I received this email back from the IEM:

I hope KM Cheang of IEM read this!
First and formost, why would Wata need to stop his blog. IEM can start their blog if they want. IEM does not represent engineers in Malaysia. As a matter of fact, IEM FAILED TO REPRESENT ENGINEERS IN MALAYSIA.
Look at what it has done for Malaysian Engineering:
1. Allow useless expatriates to practice in Malaysia without proper regulation and control.
2. Restrict the membership with a xxxxx Ir title to make themselves elite
3. Failed to champion a proper renumeration for engineers and protection scheme.
4. Failed to limit the brain drain from Malaysia.
5. Failed to reinvent itself (learn from IChemE).
6. Become a lap-dog with comittees no one heard of
Let people in touch with the industry continue their effort, and Mr KM Cheang can continue to limp into his false sense of existence together with BEM.
I leave this message with a Victory sign with the palm facing myself to IEM, especially Mr KM Cheang, Executive Director of a defunct society.
