Schlumberger picks KL as hub in Asia Pacific

October 14, 2012

I take it we are entering that business phase of ‘grow big or go home’? No more juara kampung any more, only liga perdana will exist?

Dateline 2012-09-20:

Schlumberger Ltd, the world’s largest oilfield services company, opted for Malaysia to be its hub for the Asia Pacific region due to the country’s positive business outlook, said its Asia Pacific chairman Jamal A. Ainul.

Jamal said the positive business outlook stems from strong relationship between Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) and its production sharing contract (PSC) partners.

“More importantly, it (Petronas) has the backing of the country and this allows multinational as well as local oil and gas service companies to start taking Malaysia seriously,” he said at a talk held in conjunction with the inaugural Malaysian Oil and Gas Services Exhibition and Conference, here, yesterday.

Saturday Star 2012-08-11 – Job Opportunities

August 13, 2012

To all readers, Ramadhan Mubarak (yes, I’m a few days late, not making up my own madhab). Be a bit more patient and tolerant to fellow beings, and start helping out those less fortunate then us. Invite me over for tarawikh prayers, iftar optional, wifi a must.

C’mon. Buy my recommendations, or through my Amazon store. I need the money to pay for my new camera. Where are those corporate sponsors? Or throw donations at me.

If you need my help to submit your CVs, donate to the blog, and I’ll review your CV to see if it is worthy of my (and my associates’) expectations. If you can’t figure out how to donate, no need to ask.

  • I’m looking for a senior process engineer, 7+ years experience. Send your cv here . Also looking for process safety persons, lead piping designer, lead instrument engineer, and other seniors you think will catch my eye.
  • Schlumberger is looking for a sales engineer – production engineer. Email your resume in before 15th September.

May I suggest that readers try Bluestacks? Run your Android apps on your Windows tablet, so you can buy that Win8 tablet (and buy me one) without worrying you won’t have anything to play on it!

Support your local bookshop!  Bookalicious at The Summit Subang is a good choice. I think they focus on trilogies, quadrilogies, and other ologies. Tell them I sent you, and enjoy the look of perplexity on their faces. Those of you who have dropped my name, thanks!

As this is Ramadhan, the mind turns to the history of computer hacking. Yes, you go find the link between the two.
