Malaysia surpasses 12GW RE capacity, strengthens green energy push

Malaysia has achieved more than 12 GW of installed renewable energy (RE) capacity in 2025, marking a significant milestone in its transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the completion of the Setia Kawan Energy (SKE) and Selarong Pertama Energy (SPE) solar projects represents a major step in reshaping the nation’s energy system.
