Gas leak detected at SK Tudan construction site

MIRI: An unidentified gas leak was detected at the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tudan construction site here yesterday, triggering safety concerns in the area.

A Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department operations centre spokesman said the incident was reported at 10.15am, with a team arriving at the scene at 10.24am to conduct an initial inspection.

Upon arrival, firemen discovered gas escaping from two holes drilled to depths of approximately 33.6 metres and 33.9 metres.
