    Wata,

    I holds a degree in Chemical Engineering (Hons) and graduated from University of Malaysia Sabah on Aug 2008. Now I work as a Project Engineer (Executive Level) in Singapore. I wonder how can I apply for the membership of IChemE? Thanks.

    Regards,
    Wee Seong

      Wee Seong: Contact IChemE directly. Or talk to the IES (Institution of Engineers, Singapore) and see if they can help. And let me know the outcome.

    Malaysian brain drain is almost certain. This is due to the following;

    1. No good engineer to train the younger generations
    2. Low pay (but i guess now, you’re lucky if you are employed)
    3. IEM being an absolute useless to stop brain drain (as they advertise for foreign jobs in their magazines).
